Ashley Preece- Executive Director

Ashley founded Ethical Cannabis Alliance after an extensive research process including workshops at ISEAL Alliance headquarters in London, U.K.  Her vision is to carve a path for the cannabis industry, bringing to market robust, transparent cannabis standards around social & environmental best practices nationwide.  She is in the process of developing “cannabinized” organic and fair labor standards, as well as other social and environmental best practices.  Ashley holds a BAS degree in Horticultural Sciences from Boise State University and is on the brink of two decades of experience in both agriculture and cannabis-centric cultivation. She successfully co-founded Cascadia Labs, one of the leading cannabis analytical labs in the nation, as well as helped launch Portland Chapter Women Grow. 

Laura Day Rivero- President


Laura Rivero is the Operations Manager at Yerba Buena Farms. Laura graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University with an Environmental Science degree focusing on Sustainable Communities. Laura has designed and implemented various successful business models focused around creating a nurturing and empowering work environment, exemplary labor practices, valuing diversity and sustainability, and contributing to the local community.

Stephanie Sparkman- Treasurer


Stephanie is a rare blend of a financial executive and a driven entrepreneur.  She has been an investor in Angel Oregon, a member of the Oregon Entrepreneurs’ Network and has founded multiple businesses, including a chain of high-end women’s consignment stores in the Portland area, and most recently founded CS Laboratories, Inc. an ORELAP-accredited and OLCC licensed sampling lab.  She has served as CFO for Max-Viz, Inc., VP-Finance for Airborne Integrations and as a CPA and compliance consultant for many years.  She received her MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix and a BS in Accounting from California State University’s Fullerton College of Business and Economics.
